Get to Know Northwoods Granite

Hello and welcome to our NorthWoods Granite, LLC Blog! This blog has been created primarily for information, ideas and inspiration in regards to utilizing stone in your home, whether it's for your kitchen or bathroom countertops, fireplace surround, table top or more. We'll keep you updated on the latest stone trends, and answer some common questions we experience when working in this industry. First and foremost, who are we and where did we come from?

 NorthWoods Granite opened in May 2015 in Askov, MN. We fabricate and install stone products, largely countertops, to property owners throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. The owners are Ilya Burlak, who has over 12 years of experience in the stone countertop industry and his wife Jennifer Burlak, who handles the marketing and administrative tasks for NorthWoods Granite. All of the stone fabrication and installation is done by NorthWoods Granite themselves and we typically employ 2-3 employees. Over the last 4 years, the business has grown, new equipment has been added, and a whole new shop and showroom was built and completed in January of 2019. NorthWoods Granite has moved to their new shop but still remain in the great little town of Askov, MN. 

 At NorthWoods Granite, we pride ourselves in providing a high quality product to all of our customers. Maintaining good communication with everyone we work with is important to us, and we respond quickly to requests for quotes or general information. We have many slabs of granite to view right at our shop and our showroom carries a large quantity of quartz samples in various colors. A customer is able to view sink, edge, and tile options right in our showroom also! When picking a stone color, there is also the option to go directly to one of the stone distributors we work with in the metro area; these distributors carry hundreds of colors of full slabs of granite, marble, quartz and quartzite, and are able to send us the slabs that you select.
